(Burbank, CA) — A Joan Rivers performance drew a crowd, and police at a Los Angeles-area Costco. TMZ reports the comedienne handcuffed herself to a shopping cart and compared the warehouse supermarket to Nazi Germany yesterday. Rivers was upset that Costco banned her new book, “I Hate Everything…Starting With Me” because of some racy jokes on the back cover. After yelling into a bullhorn that “Costco should not be like Nazi Germany. Next thing they’ll be burning the Bible,” Rivers walked into the store and screamed after handcuffing herself to a woman’s shopping cart. Store managers called police, who asked Rivers to leave. She did, leaving police laughing.
