I’ve been a Dj for over 10 yrs. I’m the founder of the Swishahouse movement. I have been responsible for breaking various successful artists such as: Mike Jones, Paulwall, Slim Thug & Chamillionaire. I practice a DJ STYLE called Screwed & Chopped carrying on the legacy that DJ Screw started in Houston Texas. I’m currently have the #1 5 hour mix show here on 979 the box expressing this art. It airs every Sunday from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 am. This show has 3 segments. I start off with the Swishahouse Mix from 9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. This part consist of slowing down of new hits, unbroken music & freestyles mainly Texas based Hip Hop. The second part is the Grey Tape Mix from 10:00 p.m. to 11:00 a.m. This part mainly consists of old school H-Town underground hits. The last part is called Straight To The Room. This part consists of the hottest love R&B songs. This part is from 11:00 to 1:00 a.m. There is much more to my career than this, but I have to keep it brief as possible for this website.
J-Que was destined to rock the mic… instead of building blocks and GI Joe he had turntables in his playpen. He was determined to make his mark and started his own DJ business at 17. After honing his craft in Bryan, TX; he was eventually sought out by Texas A&M to DJ the Annual Greek Olympiad. J-Que’s gold medal performance led to the birth of his alter ego “the Pimperelli” and he matriculated his way from the hottest DJ on the college circuit to join the team at 97.9 the Box. J-Que is Music Director, Pimpin’ daily on air and rocks the turntables at parties and celebrity events across the nation. He is a “Go DJ” and member of The Core DJ coalition.

You may be familiar with her loud contagious laugh, or even with her luminous smile which, you can often “see through the radio” as many would say. Keisha Nicole, started her career at legendary KDAY in her hometown of Los Angeles. There she blazed the Saturday Night Live show. As she continued to grow an exuberant and prosperous work ethic, she quickly made it known that she was taking over. Moving from weekends to prime time over the next few years, Keisha Nicole has become one of the most recognized voices on radio air waves in the mid-west.
Keisha Nicole brought her determination, drive, and enthusiastic attitude to host her own show at B96.5; a show which was #1 in the city where she has interviewed a slew of A-List celebrities. In addition to that she has made countless appearances on television such as BET’s Centric Culture List and local TV stations and is currently the local Indianapolis anchor for Dish Nation.
Not only has she touched the mic but she has touched many lives with her philanthropic endeavors within the community. Keisha stands for the empowerment of young women and through her mentorship she believes that, “this is only the beginning, God has given me a voice and position to inspire and lead the next generation every day and I will continue to do so.”

Born and raised in Houston G-man began his love for music while at a young age and continued as he became the local DJ for parties while attending Pasadena and Milby High.
In 2002 his radio dream job came true when he became the afternoon jock on 97.9 The Box!
Since then it has been a wild ride while being joined by trusty sidekick and crash test dummy “The Chile” in 2007.
You can catch G-man and The Chile at every Texans home game and supporting all of Houston sports teams.
Listen Monday-Friday 3-7p cause “You Never Know What’s Gonna Happen”
A Texan Native, The Chile, was brought into radio in 2004. Realizing the ability to make people laugh with or without clothes, he acknowledged his desire to entertain all the poor Houstians coup up in their office cubicles. The Chile came aboard The Box team in 2007 by campaigning G-Man’s afternoon show by calling asking him for a job. Being persistent, when told that they were not hiring, he continued to call G-Man, taking his campaign to a higher level and went to the streets. Rallying in the streets with the people, The Chile utilized what he could, using signs and encouraging people to call G-Man to hire him. The Chile shows strong support for the Houston Texans and all of Houston sports teams. He professes his love and support for all Houston local boxers and the sport itself. He has shown a new interest and likings for MMA fights.
