Despite the lack of big names in hip-hop performing at the 61st annual Grammy Awards, it didn’t stop Cardi B from channeling her own high school performing days on stage for her own show-stopping performance.

Last year, Cardi made her Grammy debut alongside Bruno Mars. This year, she went for dolo with a killer performance of “Money,” only hours after turning plenty of heads on the red carpet when her and her estranged husband Offset exchanged a kiss that was more tongue than kiss. Plus, she took home her very first Grammy for Best Rap Album for Invasion Of Privacy.

As far as not taking home any statues last year, Cardi used it as motivation.  “I remember last year, a lot of people were like, ‘You’re going to win,’ but then I didn’t,” she told the Associated Press. “I was like, I just got to work harder to get one. So it’s like, if I don’t get one, it means I have to triple the work and I’m going to keep on until I get one.”

Watch the full performance of “Money” below.
