Toys 'R' Us Files For Bankruptcy

Toys ‘R’ Us filed for bankruptcy last summer. Now the home of Geoffrey the Giraffe could be closing all of its stores as soon as next week.

Per CNN, closing the home of plenty of Legos and memories for adults and kids far and wide will present a larger problem for the toy industry as a whole. Stock prices shot down with the news as Hasbro and Mattel, the two largest toy companies in the world saw their stock plunge by a combined 10.5 percent. What’s even worse? LEGO reported their first drop in sales in over 13 years earlier this week.

The online retail game takeover is real.
