In the third round of the 2017 MLB Draft, The Houston Astros selected their 91st pick from Grayson Community Junior college’s right-handed pitcher (RHP) Tyler Ivey.

As listed on the Crawfish Boxes, Tyler is a sophomore at the Community College where his record was 9-0 with a 2.08 ERA in 12 games. His strikes outs are 122 with 28 walks in 78 innings.

Tyler became the first in NJCAA Region 5 in strikeouts and strikeouts per game. He also has a 5-0 with a 1.82 ERA in 8 conference games. Before being drafted, Tyler Ivey was committed to play baseball at Oklahoma State after his time at Grayson College.
