Listen up parents, you could be eligible for a refund if your child made any unauthorized purchases using your Amazon app store.
Yup, that’s right, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) made the announcement on Tuesday saying that refunds totally $70 million dollars will be offered back for things such as game upgrades on the mobile devices and some other purchases. It’s basically going to be anything that was charged by your child though the Amazon app.
This decision comes after a court’s decision that was decided last year.

The court decided that found Amazon responsible for kids having easy access to any purchases that did not require a parents approval.
The dates of purchases run between November 2011 and May 2016… this isn’t something new to happen because in 2014, the same thing came about regarding Apple and Google purchases too. The companies were made to refund their customers due to children making easy purchases through their mobile apps.
If you’re an Amazon customer then you might have received your e-mail stating that you’ll be one of the refunded customers.
If you want to check if you’re eligible go to your Amazon store here and check for yourself.
