MasterChef Junior, the tv show, has a new cooking champion.

Twelve-year-old Jasmine Stewart, a 6th grader that attends The Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta, Georgia, took home the trophy and a $100,000 grand prize on the cooking competition show Thursday night (May 18).

“This is the biggest moment of my entire life,” said Jasmine. “Who would ever think a little girl from Milton, Georgia, would ever win MasterChef Junior?”

At one point Jasmine was eliminated from the show, but she cooked her way back into the Top 6.

The season five winner said that she channeled her Jamaican roots to win the trophy. She also described herself as a “force to be reckoned with.”

In an interview with the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Jasmine’s mother, Deborah Stewart, said they plan to save the $100,000 for her college education.
