The NFL network showed football fans exactly the Kansas Chiefs drafted when they selected rookie quarterback Patrick Mahomes tenth overall during the 2017 NFL Draft.
The network wanted to show what Patrick Mahomes is throwing with and the did so when they matched him up against the former quarterback, David Carr.

The pair threw a warmup and then had three throws and a best.
During each throw, Mahomes’ arm kept getting faster until he ended with a 62 mph throw.

This number isn’t too much of a shock since Mahomes played for Whitehouse High School where he played football, baseball and basketball.
During his high school baseball career Patrick pitched a no-hitter game with 16 strikeouts during a game his senior year and once even threw a baseball at 96 mph.
Now to see what he offers during the 2017 season… or when he starts.
