“Alexa, get me a beer.”
That command to the digital assistant isn’t wishful thinking anymore because Amazon Prime’s Alexa has added it to their program.
Starting Tuesday, Amazon Prime customers that own any Alexa device such as Echo speaker can ask for alcohol delivery, but there’s one catch, it’s only in three cities for now.

So if you know anyone in Seattle then they can order beer, wine and spirits and you can order beer and wine in Columbus and Cincinnati.
These orders won’t require the account holder to be 21-year old, but the person accepting the alcohol needs to be 21-years old and have a valid 21+ ID to take the alcohol.
The drawback to ordering with Amazon Prime’s alcohol deliveries is that they will take 2-hours, but will come in a chilled and refrigerated bag.
For the customers in cities outside of the selected three cities will soon be able to order beer through Alexa in the coming weeks and months “subject to state laws not he sale and delivery of alcohol.”
It looks like Alexa might be worth a try…
