After Houston’s own Martellus Bennett and his Patriots’ team won Super Bowl LI last night, he was interviewed and asked about the traditional White House visit.

Yes. I’m from Houston. That’s what’s super cool about the super bowl this year. It’s in my home town.

Of course if you follow Martellus then you know that he’s down-to-earth and not shy about his feelings regarding current events.

Be the change you wish to see in the world. If you want a world full of hate be hateful. If you want a world full of love be loving.

So that’s why when they asked him about the winning team going to meet the President of the United States he said, “I’m not going to go.”

America was built on inclusiveness not exclusiveness.

The reporters asked him why he wouldn’t go to the White House and he responded with, “It is what it is, people know how I feel about it, just follow me on Twitter.”
They really were stirring the pot because they asked him what he thought about the Patriots’ owner’s relationship with Trump and what he would think too. Of course Martellus that he wasn’t really worried about it.
“You just don’t bring that to work, you know, we got… we’re co-workers, we got to co-exist for the same job, same cause. And the only thing that really matters is getting this championship,” Said Martellus. “Everybody comes from a different walk of life. Everybody is going to be from different places and everybody has different beliefs whether it’s religion.”
He said “We except people for who they are and that’s the biggest thing what this country is really about.”
What do you think?
