The Obama’s farewell tour continued last night with our First Lady, Michelle Obama making her final appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. In one segment, Flotus surprised unsuspecting guests while they faced a portrait of her thanking her and telling her what her eight years in office meant to them.
Flotus surprised each person one-by-one by coming from behind a curtain and giving the very emotional guest a very heartfelt hug, yes we are jealous. It was such a touching and beautiful moment as the guest had no idea that she was actually hearing their words in person. The first guest whose name is Alicia revealed to Obama:
“This was not what I was expecting,” Alicia said. “I was eating pizza bites yesterday in my bed and now I’m meeting the first lady.”
So dope!
Also on the show Mrs.Obama got the opportunity to thank her husband as well by penning a thank you note to the 44th President. In the letter she wrote: “Thank you Barack, for proving you’re not a lame duck, but my very own silver fox”. Awwwwwww if those aren’t relationship goals we don’t know what is.
We also got an explanation as to why Sasha was not present at her dad’s farewell address and of course it was a typical mom explanation.
Lord we are going to miss the Obama’s :-(.
