ABC is doubling up on laughs this summer and it’s all thanks to a couple of our favorite funnymen. Both Mike Epps and Anthony Anderson are set to premiere their new series’ Uncle Buck and To Tell The Truth Tuesday on the ABC network.

Ever since it was announced that a television remake of the 1989 comedy starring the late John Candy was in the works with Mike Epps in the starring role, there has been a combination of curiosity, anticipation and a little trepidation as well.

If you need a little refresher about the plot of Uncle Buck, it’s pretty simple. A lifelong slacker who is once again down on his luck needs a job and a place to live, luckily his brother and sister-in-law also need someone to watch their three children and help around the house. Despite his faults, Buck is actually lovable even though he manages to get himself and those around him in slapstick situations.

Ageless beauty Nia Long co-stars as Buck’s reluctant sister-in-law Alexis and James Lesure is her husband and Buck’s straight-laced brother Will. Executive produced by Will Packer, the show was picked up last year with a series order of eight episodes to air throughout the summer 2016 TV season.

As if that wasn’t enough to keep you laughing and satisfied on Tuesday nights, ABC is also premiering a reboot of the classic TV game show To Tell The Truth. This time Black-ish star Anthony Anderson is the host along with regular panelists Real Housewives of Atlanta star Nene Leakes , former NBA star Jalen Rose and the always lovable Betty White, who was also a guest on the original version of the show.

The show’s premise revolves around four celebrities who try to determine which of the show’s three contestants is actually telling the truth about who they claim to be. The show will air six episodes and serve as a lead-in to Uncle Buck.
