Keke Palmer wants you to know she’s a grown woman! The 22-year-old “Scream Queens” star has been trying to rebrand her image from child star to sex symbol.

Having recently shown off her vocal ability in “Grease Live” and with the music video, “I Don’t Belong To You”, Keke wants to be taken as seriously for her music as she is for her acting.

She recently released her latest music video, “Enemiez.” featuring Jeremih which is giving us all types of TLC, Aaliyah vibes.

Flexing her creativity, Keke wrote the treatment for the video. She told Interview Magazine, that she’s also interested in adding directing to her resume.

On the inspiration behind the lyrics and the visuals for “Enemiez”, Keke said,  “When I first heard the song, I was more listening to the lyrics and allowing them to resonate with me on a different scale.”

“The video portrays you coming into your own self and allowing yourself to fight for what you believe, as opposed to the song, which is really saying, ‘I’m going mad because of the way that I feel for you and the fact that you don’t feel that way back.’”

She added, “It’s expressing another vulnerability than is being displayed in the video. When we were doing the video, I wanted to showcase more the vulnerability that I’m experiencing as the artist.”

Let us know if you’re feeling the video and if you want to see more from Keke as an artist?
