Congratulations Pastor Catherine Smith & Minister Madelyn Traylor!
Receiving several hundred nominations and countless votes after a national radio and digital campaign, Radio One proudly announced and awarded fifteen people representing each of its major radio markets.The winners’ contributions spanned from a pastor and lawyer to a juvenile probation officer and yoga instructor.

I would like to tell you about how great Power4life Ministries is and is also a pillar in this community. Power4life provides help, healing, and hope to the masses by giving residence of low income housing at our ministry services and also in the time of need, food, clothes, groceries, gifts, gift cards, etc. This ministry also provides prayer, praise, and a Word that ministers to all people from all around the city of Houston. At our last celebration of the King, Power4life provided over 500 people with gifts, food, and clothing. Both Pastor Smith and Min Traylor sacrifice their time and money to provide for this ministry and really do care about the people of God. It would really be a blessing to honor them to win this trip to the NAACP awards.
The winners chosen were nominated by their peers and voted for to win the Grand Prize of $1000, two tickets to the NAACP’s Image Awards, hotel accommodations, and award recognition for their contributions to our community.
