Jason Pierre-Paul

The man, the football player, the Giant.

Jason Pierre-Paul has finally taken another step in his recovery process since the unfortunate July 4th fireworks accident that led to his right index finger being amputated.

Pierre-Paul took to Instagram yesterday to share his first scheduled post-surgery picture:

The burly defensive end can be seen wearing a hospital gown and sitting on his bed as he takes a boxing stance, proving he’s ready for life’s battles. The caption reads, “I just want to say never give up. Everything will be okay at the end. If it’s not okay that means it’s not the end. #90powerCircle #JustTheBeginning.”

JPP has been criticized during much of the 2015-2016 season for the accident, but has remained positive; he is scheduled for one more surgery. Much of his offseason will be focused on trying to regain some mobility in his fingers, which will hopefully allow him to play without the huge bandage wrapped around his right hand.

Pierre-Paul is officially a free agent now, but all Big Blue fans are hoping the Giants will give him the franchise tag.
