Yesterday, the Washington Redskins lost to the GreenBay Packers in their WildCard game 35-18.
There is no Super Bowl action for the Redskins this season, but their former 1986 draft pick, Mark Rypien’s Super Bowl ring is back up for auction.
The former quarterback spent his first two years in the NFL on IR, injured reserves, with a bad knee, but in 1988, the Redskins won Superbowl XXII against the Broncos giving Rypien a Super Bowl ring too.
The Super Bowl XXII ring originally went up for auction in 2013, but the current owner decided to put it up on the Goldin Auctions at a starting bid at $15,000.
The ring is expected to sell for around $50k…
Luckily for Rypien, the XXII ring wasn’t his only Super Bowl ring, Rypien also took the Redskins to the XXVI Super Bowl in 1992 against the Bills.
