This weekend on Pay-per-view, November 21st, Puerto Rico’s Miguel Cotto will go up against Mexico’s Saul “Canelo” Alvarez for the WBC World middleweight title fight.
The fighter, Canelo is ten years younger then his opponent Cotto, with a longer reach and a few inches in height on Cotto too. Canelo has a 45-1-1 record, with 32 KOS and Cotto has a 40-4-0 record with 33 KOS and although, Canelo is a super welterweight and Cotto is a middleweight boxer, both fighters box orthodox stance.

The two fighters aren’t the only one’s competing this weekend, Golden Boy Promotions CEO Oscar De La Hoya and Roc Nation Sports Jay-Z have a $100,000 bet going on for their boxers to win.
Recently, Miguel Cotto signed a lucrative contract with Roc Nation Sports and Roc Nation is promoting his middleweight title.
The bet is for charity…. if Alvarez beats Cotto, Jay-Z will donate $100,000 to De La  Hoya’s charity of choice, The White Memorial Medical Center’s cancer unit and if Cotto beats Alvarez then De La Hoya will donate $100,000 to the Shawn Carter Foundation.

It’s no surprise that De La Hoya hasn’t been lucky at picking winning fighters. The last five fighters that De La Hoya selected to win have lost.
De La Hoya also predicted that the pay-per-view would earn 1.5 million in sells… we’ll see.
