Starbucks changed their free birthday drink policy starting September 30th. The reason for the change is to celebrate the customer’s actual birthday on their birthday.
The change eliminates the month long option to have a free drink to having four days to redeem your drink.
Now the customer has two days before their birthday, the day of their birthday and the day after their birthday to redeem the free drink.
Did Starbucks make this change after their system was hacked by their free drink system where he was receiving a free “birthday” drink everyday out of the year.
There are also stories where customers have hacked their free drink system to order the “most expensive” drink.

This customer ordered what came out to be a 5 gallon drink. He had 77 shots in his drink too.
