Christopher “Kid” Reid and Christopher “Play” Martin were the members of Kid ‘N Play, a rap group known for their playful rhymes that dominated in the late 1980s.

The New York City natives got their start in high school as The Turnout Brothers, but changed the name of the group twice before settling on Kid ‘N Play. They recorded three albums, starred in five movies, and even a cartoon together, making them a household name. Their fame hit its peak with the hit, “Ain’t Gonna Hurt Nobody” and of course the cult-classic teen flick, House Party.

Watch tonight’s Unsung episode on Kid ‘N Play tonight on TV One at 8pm EST.
