Today, at the SportsCenter Studios, a memorial plaque in honor of the late and great Stuart Scott was unveiled.
SportsCenter tweeted a picture of the plaque with his famous catchphrase, “Boo-Yah!” This is one of ten catchphrases that Stuart did over his career on the air.
Stuart passed away in January to the cancer after battling it for a third time. Stuart was originally diagnosed with cancer in 2007 after his appendix was removed and testing showed the appendix showed cancer.

After going into remission, in 2011, Stuart’s cancer had returned. He eventually went into remission again, but in 2013 it returned. Since Stuart never wanted to know what level or stage his cancer was in, he just lived his life normal.
Stuart once said, “One of the coolest things about having cancer, and I know that sounds like an oxymoron, is meeting other people who’ve had to fight it. You have a bond. It’s like a fraternity or sorority.”
In March his book was released… “Every Day I Fight.”
