"The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" - Los Angeles Premiere

Allen Berezovsky

Soul rocker Lenny Kravitz released a video via his Facebook page earlier today, paying tribute to Dr. King.  The video, a montage of photos and audio clips lifted from some of MLK’s most famous speeches, is bolstered by the song “Dream,” which originally appears on Lenny’s 2011 album, Black and White America.  It’s a particularly poignant clip, not only because it is a reminder of King’s work and sacrifice, but also because the album itself was inspired by Lenny Kravitz’s parents and their relationship (Lenny father, former NBC News producer Sy Kravitz, is Jewish, and his mother, The Jeffersons co-star Roxie Roker, is black).  Check out the video on YouTube.
