Earlier this year, Baltimore Ravens star running Back, Ray Rice, got caught on video dragging then-fiancee out of an elevator in Atlantic City back on February 15, 2014.
NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell, gave Rice a 2 game suspension that many thought was the NFL taking a weak stance on domestic violence.
TMZ has posted a newly released video of the 5-foot-8-inch, 220-pound hitting Janay Palmer, she hits back. Rice then punches her, she bangs her head on a railing inside the elevator as she falls to the floor appearing to be knocked unconscious. When the elevator door opens, Rice takes the still knocked out Palmer, and drags her out of the elevator.
The video is shot from inside the Revel Hotel and Casino in Atlantic City, and is the footage shot before the previously circulated video that showed Rice dragging his unconscious wife-to-be out of the elevator on Feb. 15.
Rice and Palmer are now married.
The video was released a week after NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said he “didn’t get it right” in the way he handled the situation with Rice.
Last week, Goodell announced the NFL’s tougher stance on domestic violence, a move that will result in a six-game suspension for a first offense and an indefinite ban for a second offense committed by any NFL personnel.
UPDATE:
The Baltimore Ravens have announced that Ray Rice’s contract has been terminated.
The #Ravens have terminated RB Ray Rice’s contract this afternoon.
