On this past Monday’s night Raw, WWE extended an “open-mic” invitation to Michael Sam to come on Raw and allow him to get into the ring say what he wanted. Everyone knows that Michael Sam is the first “openly” gay NFL player and now WWE wants to hear his story.
The question is why? Is this a PR stunt or is this legit! Another question would be, why would WWE put a NFL player on their show when MNF shares time slots with WWE.
WWE originally posted tweets inviting Sam to their live show in Baltimore and when he was released, WWE removed all evidence of those invites. Now, their latest is, WWE has sent out congrats to Sam for his move to the Cowboys.  “Congratulations to Michael Sam on signing with the Dallas Cowboys! WWE will extend its invitation for Michael Sam to appear on any future Monday Night Raw he wishes. We offer our support for Michael as he continues his journey.”
We will have to see if Sam decides to respond to the WWE or if accepts their invite to appear on their show in the future or not.
