Lewis was true billed by a Harris County grand jury for the murders, Harris County District Attorney Devon Anderson said.
The trial represents Anderson’s first capital murder case as DA since taking office in September.
“I am honored once again to represent the great State of Texas in the courtroom as we seek justice for Corporal Jimmie Norman and business owner Terry Taylor,” Anderson said.
