Houston police at the scene of a mysterious shooting

(HOUSTON) — A 16-year-old boy was shot to death when a bullet came flying into his bedroom early Monday.

It happened at the Happy Village Apartments on Ranchester in southwest Houston.

Ofc. Jesus Sosa with the Houston Police Department said the boy and his mother recently moved to Houston.

No one saw a car speed away, so the source of the bullet is unknown.
