Earlier this week, the “Mexi-Kenyan” Hollywood star made a short appearance in “Plaza Sesamo,” the Hispanic version of the renowned children’s program “Sesame Street”.

Hice algo pequeño en el Plaza Sesamo. Vean lo aqui” (I did something small in “Plaza Sesamo.” Watch it here), the “12 Years A Slave” starlet shared on Twitter and Instagram

She was there for many reasons:

  1. To celebrate “El Dia Mundial de la Risa” (World Laughter Day)
  2. To flaunt her Spanish-speaking skills
  3. And most importantly, to teach kids how to laugh and smile not just for World Laughter Day, but every day

The global festivity is celebrated the first Sunday of May, every year, and “Plaza Sesamo” found a creative and cute way to party by inviting the up-and-coming radiant actress.

“Hi, I am Lupita,” she began the video in Spanish, “do you know how to laugh? so do I, why don’t we laugh together.”

She later invites viewers to a countdown which leads to the most perfect laugh you will ever encounter, ever.

And now, enjoy your “Laughter lessons 101″ with Ms. Nyong’o.

Don’t forget to take notes, they can come in handy in the future.
