(HOUSTON) — A Katy cheerleading coach is back in court after another former student accused him of sexual abuse.
Devincent Phillips, 40, was charged in October 2013 when a Fort Bend County girl made an outcry about assaults committed when she was a student at the gym. He’s now dealing with new accusations that he sexually assaulted another former underage student.

Investigators said the second victim heard about the first case, which is still pending, and decided to come forward about her own alleged abuse. She said she was 15 when Phillips assaulted her at his cheer gym
Phillips was arrested last week and taken to the Harris County Jail. Bond was set at $30,000.
“Not totally unexpected, and we are prepared to deal with it,” said attorney Kent Schaffer, who represents Phillips.
