Is the middle class soon to be obsolete? Will there be the rich and the poor with noone in between? Times are certainly difficult and there’s more than enough indication of that in these trying days. This past weekend I spent the entire day on the couch watching the OWN Network channel and boy was I on an emotional roller coaster.

Before a live studio audience, Oprah shared the stage with Maria Shriver for a discussion about Shriver’s honest and in-depth HBO documentary, Paycheck to Paycheck: The Life and Times of Katrina Gilbert. In association with The Shriver Report, the film candidly reveals the moving story of a year in the life of Katrina Gilbert, a 30-year-old mother of three, who works as a certified nursing assistant.

Her daily struggles highlight the hardships faced by millions of women living at or below the poverty line despite being working hard. Oprah and Shriver also speak with other families on the brink of economic devastation, exposing one of the most challenging situations facing Americans today.

If you have cable tune in to the OWN Network you may be able to catch it. Peep a mini preview below!
