Time Warner Cable Studios, Victor Cruz and Anne Burrell Host "Connect A Million Minds" Family Day

Super Bowl excitement completely took over New York City this weekend. But amidst all of the high octane performances and exclusive parties, one Super Bowl winner found time to inspire his youngest fans beyond the field. Alongside Food Network chef Anne Burrell, Giants star Victor Cruz hosted Time Warner Cable’s “Connect A Million Minds Day” on Saturday. Alongside Food Network chef Anne Burrell,  the wide receiver engaged 300 students from local Boys & Clubs Clubs in interactive activities to spark their interest in science, technology, engineering and math.

As a Boys & Girls Club All-Star alum, Cruz was excited to participate in the event:

“As a former Boys & Girls Club member, I’m thrilled to have taken part of ‘Connect a Million Minds Day’ at Time Warner Cable Studios. Through my partnership with Time Warner Cable and Connect a Million Minds, I’ve made it my personal mission to help the next generation understand the importance of taking an interest in subjects like math and science.”

Connect A Million Minds was launched as a response to President Obama’s “Educate to Innovate” campaign, to engage young students in math and science.
