Ice Cube is updating fans on the status of his forthcoming N.W.A. biopic.  In an interview with MTV News, the emcee reveals that filmmakers will begin casting on Wednesday.  As for the screenplay, he says writers are still “fine-tuning” the script after obtaining all the rights to the story.  Cube also explains that the film will portray aspects of the N.W.A. members’ lives that “people aren’t privy to.”  One of the major themes will be how growing up in inner city Los Angeles influenced the group’s music, and then how their music later influenced the streets.  Director F. Gary Gray of “Friday” fame has signed on to lead the film.
