Karma has officially come back on the man accused of beating Adrian Peterson’s 2-year-old son, Tyrese Robert Ruffin, to death.
According to reports, Joseph Patterson was charged with second degree murder, two counts of first degree manslaughter and aggravated battery of an infant by a Lincoln County grand jury last Friday. He was also hit with one felony charge of child abuse.

As we reported earlier, Patterson, the mother’s boyfriend, was supposed to be taking care of the toddler when the alleged beating took place on October 9. Ruffin died after two days in intensive care.
USA Today reports that “second-degree murder carries a mandatory life sentence without the possibility of parole” in the state of South Dakota. The manslaughter charge is also punishable by up to life in prison.
An arraignment date for Patterson’s case has yet to be set.
