British actor, Idris Elba, just recently opened up about the moment he found out his ex-girlfriend’s baby boy was not his child saying it was “a punch in the face.”
Elba, who already had a baby girl from a previous marriage, had the boy in 2010 and expressed excitement online about having a son but the moment wouldn’t last.
He told GQ magazine, “It wasn’t immediately obvious – well, it was, because he didn’t look like me. But it wasn’t immediately obvious what had gone down…
“To be given that and then have it taken away so harshly was like taking a full-on punch in the face: POW. You know, the truth is, like, even admitting it, I’ll probably get laughed at for the rest of my life. But it is just tragic, and it happened.”
He got suspicious because the baby didn’t look like him and he got a DNA test, which proved he was not the child’s father.
“But I wasn’t knocked out. I stood right the f— back up, and I ain’t aiming to take another punch in the face ever again. Do you understand what I’m saying? It happened to me. I moved on.”
Ain’t no punch line to that!
