The tradition of Houston’s Thanksgiving Day Parade is no more after organizers announce they will no longer produce the event.

The Houston Festival Foundation announced Wednesday they will focus their efforts on the 2014 Houston International Festival, and cite rising costs as the reason for ending the parade. The HFF has produced the parade since 1995, according to KPRC.

Over 400,000 attended the parade last year. The price tag to put on the parade: $500,000.
