Dennis Farina, best known for his role as Detective Joe Fontana, on NBC’s “Law & Order”, died today. He was 69. Farina has been a notable character actor since the ’80s, with roles in a number of films and television shows, including “Midnight Run,” “Get Shorty,” “What Happens in Vegas,” HBO’s “Luck” and “Remington Steele.”
ABC News reports Farina died of a blood clot which travelled to his lungs.
