Rihanna caused quite a stir yesterday morning when she tweeted a prayer for former South African President Nelson Mandela, who some say she mistakenly believed had died. Mandela was, in fact, in a hospital in critical condition.
According to Sandra Rose, her tweet caused many media outlets to second guess themselves after she posted this tweet:
Nelson Mandela….one of the most incredible men to ever walk this earth!!! Sending prayers up to the Heavens for you! #AngelOnEarth

Despite some debate whether or not she thought Mandela was indeed dead taking place on Twitter, the ‘777’ star did not comment further.
