Sounds like The Billboard Music Awards might seek to distance itself from a stunt performed by singer Miguel after a woman was injured to the point of brain damage, according to her lawyers.

According to sources who spoke with TMZ, Miguel approached producers about jumping over the audience during rehearsals. The Billboard Music Awards not only declined, saying the leap would be unsafe, they ordered the “Adorn” artist not to perform the stunt.

Of course, we all know what happened next.

A woman who collided with destiny–and singer Miguel‘s leg–may have suffered brain damage after he attempted to leap over his audience at the Billboard Music Awards. As we now know, the “Beautiful” co-collaborator missed his mark, landing on two fans before continuing to sing.

Lawyers for Khyati Shah are now saying she suffered more than just embarrassment on national television, according to DiaryofaHollywoodStreetKing.com:

“Some of the difficulties she’s experiencing are cognitive in nature and lead to suspicion of a neurological head injury.”

Lawyers said she should of been transported to the hospital after her injuries. Instead, Billboard Music Awards staff gave her an ice pack. Shah was brought backstage to meet Miguel afterwards, and told Billboard she “adorns” the singer.

But, now, a lawsuit looks to be forthcoming.
