This past Tuesday I decided to run at Terry Hershey Park.  I had never been there before but my co-worker insisted that I would love it because of the beautiful scenery.  I arrived about 5 o’clock.  I must admit the park is amazing.  The gorgeous trees, valleys, streams and bridges were a breath of fresh air.  I was so focused on the nature that I must have passed by 4 water fountains and I was ready to pass out!!!

I was excited to be in a new environment and take on the 6.1 mile trail.  There was only one problem…I had no clue that the trail didn’t go in a full circle.  *insert sad face here*  So I ran 6 miles and they realized that my car was not at the end of the trail.  I quickly looked at my Nike Plus app only to find out that my GPS said “you are far far far from your car”.

I ended up having to WALK BACK 6 MILES!!!!!  OMG!  That isn’t it.  It was getting dark and I had 2 miles left.  My phone had died and I was the only person on the trail!  I’m not gonna lie.  I started praying and asking God to keep me safe.  I kept hearing noises in the trees..I saw about 5 bunnies and a few frogs on the trail too.  I was just waiting on a witch or prince charming to show up or something! lol.

Anyhoo…the park is still wonderful.  I don’t think I will be going back though…at least not alone! Or maybe I will just take a bike!!! :)
