A baby died after being left alone in a hot car. According to the Brazoria County sheriff’s deputies the child was found outside a trailer home along County Road 685 on Sunday evening.

According to reports, the two-month-old baby’s family had a baptism party for one of their four children. The mother went to the grocery store with the baby boy. When she returned home and unloaded the groceries, but she apparently forgot to unload the baby.

Detectives said the 33-year-old mother started cooking and preparing for the event while the baby sat in the car. An hour into the celebration, someone asked about the baby and the mother remembered that the baby boy was still in the car.

The mother rushed to the car and found the baby boy unresponsive. The family called 911 and the baby was later pronounced dead. Investigators have not said if the mother will face any charges.
