It’s hurricane season and if you’re interested in helping your community prepare, there’s an app for that.

Or more precisely a program.

It’s called the Community Emergency Response Team, or CERT, and it is part of Harris County Citizens Corps. Francisco Sanchez, Public Information Officer for the county, says thousands have already signed up, there there is always room for more.
