The nominations for the 2012 BET Awards were just announced and it’s no surprise Kanye West along with Beyonce and Jay-Z lead the pack in nominations.

Kanye West dominates the nominees with seven noms. Beyonce is the most nominated female artist with six nominations. Her husband follows close behind her with five nominations. The most interesting thing about The Carter family’s nominations is they basically own the Video of the Year category. Jay holds down two of the spots with “Otis” and “N***as In Paris” while Beyonce gets two chances to win in the trophy with “Love On Top” and “Countdown.” Usher is the only artist up for Video of the Year who isn’t affiliated with Roc Nation in some form or fashion.

In other news, Trina got the nomination for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist that she so coveted. If you remember, she slammed BET for not giving her a nod last year. She goes up against newcomer Briana Perry, Nicki Minaj, and Diamond.

Take a look at the full list of nominees below. Tune into the 2102 BET Awards when they air Sunday July 1st. You don’t want to miss Samuel L. Jackson hosting this year either.
