Love was apparently in the air when three elk made their way into a Swedish man’s backyard this week. Peter Lundgren tells “The Local” that he was stepping outside to enjoy some fresh air when he noticed that the animals were having a threesome on his property. One male was mounting a female, who in turn was licking another male. Lundgren says he’s seen elk get drunk eating fermented apples, but states that he’s never seen them get frisky in public. A local researcher says it’s “extremely rare” to see elk engage in sexual behavior in a residential area, adding that Lundgren’s experience is even more surprising because mating season ended earlier this month.
