(Undated)  —  Former Houston Astros player and manager Art Howe is not happy with his portrayal in the new baseball movie “Moneyball.”  For one, Howe says he looks nothing like Oscar winning actor Philip Seymour Hoffman who plays him in the movie.  Howe tells the “Houston Chronicle” that Hoffman was a little on the heavy side to play him.  He also says many of the things that took place in the movie never happened.  Howe was with the Oakland A’s during the time period that the film takes place.  Based on the book of the same name, “Moneyball” depicted Howe frequently at odds with A’s general manager Billy Beane, played by Brad Pitt in the film.  The movie opened in second place at the movie box office last weekend, taking in just over 20-million-dollars in ticket sales.
