Yao Ming was slated to be an All-Star his entire career and a pivotal part of the Houston Rockets franchise but his nagging injuries have plagued his career and now he is calling it quits.

The 7-foot-6 Yao averaged 19 points and 9.2 rebounds for his career and is a cult hero in China. But he played only five games last season with ankle and foot injuries. He did not play at all in the 2009-10 season but still remains to win votes to start in All-Star games due to his popularity.
