HOUSTON — The Final Four is coming to Houston and the schedule of events announced Tuesday will include several free options for the entire family.
The events begin on Monday, March 31 and run through Monday, April 4.

THE BIG DANCE
APRIL 1 – 3, 2011
The Big Dance is a free three-day concert series open to music fans in celebration of the NCAA Men’s Final Four. In addition to the music, there will e plenty of food and activities to keep you entertained. These concerts take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday over the Final Four Weekend at Discovery Green and will feature both local and national musical acts. It’s sponsored by NCAA Corporate Champions AT&T, Capital One and Coca-Cola.
FINAL FOUR FRIDAY
APRIL 1, 2011
This free public event takes place at Reliant Stadium on the Friday of Final Four Weekend. The day’s activities include open team practices for the participating Final Four teams, as well as the Reese’s All-Star Game, featuring top senior student-athletes from around the country playing on the Final Four court. Enjoy the opportunity to hear from each head coach of the participating Final four teams after the practice session is completed. Fans in attendance will be randomly selected to win national semifinal and championship game tickets throughout the day!
On April 2, 2011, Reliant Stadium will host two national semifinal college basketball games to determine which two teams will play for the NCAA National Championship. The championship will be played at Reliant on Monday, April 4.
LOCAL IMPACT
It’s been 40 years since the Bayou City last hosted the finals of the NCAA championship tournament.
Tens of thousands of visitors will make an estimated economic impact of more than $50 million to the city of Houston, and 76,500 fans are expected to attend the games, which will be televised nationally.
More than 2,500 volunteers will be recruited and trained by the Houston Final Four Local Organizing Committee. If you’d like to volunteer, head to ncaa.com/finalfour to register.
