Good Morning The Boxx,

To me, I have the ultimate love story because it is a love story between soul mates.  I believe me and my husband were destined to be together when I first saw him even if he didn’t know it yet.

It was one sunny Sunday, and my best-friend and I were coming from church and she decided she wanted to make crawfish and potatoes for lunch, so we stopped by the Fiesta grocery store.  We walked in the store and that’s when I saw him: a light skinned, medium build, handsome man checking at the front counter.  Of course, he didn’t notice me even though a girl was looking good..(lol).  My girlfriend and I walked to the seafood department and I told her then, I said, “sistah that man there is going to be my husband”, she said you crazy you don’t even know that man, I said, “I know but I will.”  We walked around the store and got all the items that we needed, me still on the look out for him.  We finally got to the counter and I pressured her to go into the line he was checking customers out at.  I told her, “C’mon lets go over here she was like, no, you crazy aren’t you scared of rejection. I said no the only thing he can say is either he is married or he has a girlfriend.  She was like Oh my God, I know you’re not going to drag me with you (but I did). He starts to check us out never looking up from scanning our groceries.  His badge said his name was Chester and he was the front end manager.  I spoke I said, “how are you today”, he said, “fine”,  I said that’s good, can I ask you a question? He said sure, never looking up from scanning our groceries.  I asked him, “are you married?” He said no.  I ask do you have a girlfriend. He said no.  I ask “do you mind if I give you my number? He said no.  he gave me a piece of receipt paper and I wrote my number down for him.  He never looked up.  I handed him my number and told him that if he didn’t call me he would be missing out on the best thing of his life.  He did a little chuckle and said OK, never looking up.  We left the store and my girlfriend was like, “I can’t believe you did that, he didn’t even look at you.” I was like, I know, but if he doesn’t call its his loss.

The next day my girlfriend asked, did he call you, I said no he hasn’t called.  She said, see I told you he wasn’t going to call you.  I said its OK no worries.

Three days later from when I gave him my number, he called.  I didn’t know who he was at first and he told me this is Chester from Fiesta.  I said, ohhh hello, how are you.  He said fine, I’m sorry I haven’t called you sooner, I’ve been really busy at work and haven’t had the chance, but I am off the next 3 days and would like to take you out.  I said sure.  We talked on the phone for the next 3 hours and then hung up.  The next night he came to pick me up and he said wow I’m glad you are good looking because I never saw you, and we both laughed.  He asked, where would you like to go, but wait before you answer that let me tell you, “I work very hard, but I am not a rich man, and if that’s what you’re looking for then maybe I’m not that person for you”.  I laughed right away.  I told him “that’s fine, because I’m a simple girl, I just want some chicken.”  He laughed and said, “OK, I can do that”.  Our first date was at KFC, I had a two piece and a parfait.  It was great!  That three day weekend he had off we spent it all together.  It was love at first sight!  Two weeks later we moved in together and have been inseparable every since.  We’ve since been together 7 years and been married for 3 of those years.  A combined family of 3 kids.  We have a loving family and yes my husband works very hard as he always said.

I would love for us to be the audience to see Kem and Eric Benet.  I believe our story is the ultimate love story portraying, strong, unconditional, peaceful love.

Sincerely,

Diane Tyler
