I met the love of my life over 18 years ago in 1991 on the campus of Prairie View A and M University.  We were friends and would sit outside of the dorm late at night talking and laughing.  Kiley was and still is a very, very shy Southern gentleman.  He would not tell me that he had feelings for me, but he let some of our mutual friends know and begged them not to tell me also.  I was not patient and started dating the wrong people. I left P.V. he stayed and we went on our seperate ways.  Some how we always were in the same place but never bumped into one another until October 17th, 2009.  P.V. once again brought us together and this time will not let us depart from one another.  During P.V.s homecoming weekend we bumped into each other and exchanged phone numbers with glowing smiles and tight warming hugs. That night I lost him in the crowd and my heart dropped because I thought that I would never hear from him or see him again.  The next day I was thinking about him with the widest smile on my face and I decided to text him. As I was texting him a text came through on my phone from him at the same time.  We made dinner plans for Saturday and decided that was way to long so we met on Tuesday. During dinner I was so afraid to look at him because of the butterflies and the emotion that was churning in my body, soul, mind and heart (he thought I was bored). We talked, laughed and enjoyed each others company and then we KISSED.  That was the best, most gentle, exciting kiss I have ever had and I am 37 years old.

Since that Tuesday we have danced, laughed, loved, played, cried, snuggled, shared Christmas and Thankgiving, partied and the list goes on and on…  I am so happy and blessed to have him in my life and I thank God that he sent him back to me.  Remember God might not send it when you want it but He is always right on time.
