(Bangor, ME) — The principal of Bangor High School in Maine says no more dances, at least for now. Principal Norris Nickerson is upset about certain behaviors on the dance floor commonly referred to as “dirty dancing.” He says administrators have tried to take care of it, but it’s only gotten worse, so he’s banning dances until the behavior is under control. The student council is proposing for the dances to continue, just without any inappropriate moves. Nickerson says administrators will look at it, and may try to hold another dance February 26th and see what happens, but if there’s more bad behavior, no more dances, period.
