Last night I headed out to the movies with my girl JB to check out “Wall Street: Movie Never Sleeps”, the sequel to the 1987 classic “Wall Street.”

The first movie in my opinion in a CLASSIC, so I was happy to see that Director Oliver Stone stayed with the brand to direct the 2nd as well.

Though it felt like it ran a bit long, I enjoyed the movie for if nothing else, giving me a look into the lives of characters that I had been so invested in from the first film.

My criticism is that, instead of feeling edgy and powerful, this movie came out a bit campy and corny. A lot of silly one- liners, horrible song placement, and melodrama.

Aside from that though, I did enjoy how socially relevant it was, it probed into some real financial situations affecting our country right now and encourages the audience to start asking questions about where our money is really going.

If you go see it let me know what you think! And check out the preview above!
