A Louisville man is facing child pornography charges after police said he acquired files using a file-sharing program.

According to arrest records, police executed a search warrant at 24-year-old Randy Carl Daugherty’s residence on Wednesday.

Police said when they entered Daugherty’s apartment, he was watching pornography through Limewire and he had several pornographic files opened on his laptop.

According to arrest records, Daugherty deleted files of child porn from his cell phone.

Police said Daugherty also had child pornography on his MP3 player.

According to arrest records, Daugherty admitted he knew that child pornography was in his possession but said a computer virus automatically downloaded the material to his laptop, cell phone and MP3 player.

Daugherty is charged with possession of child porn and tampering with evidence.

He pleaded not guilty to the charges in court Thursday.
