Lady Gaga Is MTV’s “Woman Of The Year” For 2009
MTV is naming Lady Gaga its “Woman Of The Year” for 2009 and the singer says the honor “means everything” to her. According to MTV.com, Gaga says she’s both “flattered” and “excited” about this new title. She says, quote, “It makes me want to work harder, make better videos and better shows and better music all the time.” The singer’s involvement with MTV in 2009 was, for her, the stuff of dreams. She was especially happy to see her dream of performing on the Video Music Awards come true. Gaga says, quote, “I wanted to be a performer and I wanted my VMA performance to be my ground-breaking, life-changing performance.”
Gaga gave a performance at the MTV Video Music Awards that left her soaked in fake blood. The stunt came in between the singer’s many bizarre costume changes during the evening.
